Clean Eating Resources

Share

Just in case my blog isn’t enough for you (~gulp~gasp~wither~) I thought I would put together a resource page for clean eating. If you know of any other books, restaurants or web sites (or any other resources) that should be added to this list, please email me so I can add it! Thanks!

Clean Eating Books

  • Tosca Reno’s books are the obvious, go-to information source. They are the most well-known and the most widely read on the subject. Simply enter her hame in whatever online shopping site you shop at, and you’ll find a huge selection of her books.
  • Clean Eating For Dummies

Clean Eating Magazines

  • Clean Eating Magazine is the best known and most widely read.
  • Oxygen magazine is a fitness magazine that also includes clean eating recipes.

Clean Eating Web Sites

Clean Eating Restaurants

I find that the best way to locate a clean eating restaurant is to search for those “Farm To Table” style restaurants. They seem to be sprouting up everywhere these days and are far more willing (and able) to accommodate your dietary needs than regular, run-of-the-mill restaurants. At least, that’s been my experience so far anyway.

I’d love to start a resource list specific to clean eating restaurants though. So if you know of any that cater specifically to this style of eating, please let me know so I can list it here!

Bryn and Dane’s Healthy Fast Food in Horsham, PA is clean. Bryn Davis, the founder, was featured in Men’s Health a while ago for joining their “Belly Off Club” and converting to a healthy lifestyle. It’s the only place I feel comfortable eating outside of my home while still being able to stay clean. And they are extreeeemely friendly, too :) They don’t have much of a website, but they’re pretty big on facebook.

Pat – Thanks! But do they have clean options on the menu?

Kelsey – No, not at all. Most chefs are willing to work with diet restrictions. You just have to let your waitress know what you need. I’m just trying to supply a list of restaurants that are known for their clean eating menus. There are certainly plenty of others not listed here.
