I don’t usually use ground pork for anything other than chili. But I found myself with a pound of it that needed to be used up and thought I’d make a fast dinner of burgers and veggies.
These honestly have to be the best burger I’ve ever made! The blend of flavorings was so unique and so perfect for the pork. It made for an absolutely wonderful burger!
So don’t get hung up on making the same ol’ burgers again and again. Experiment! Have a little fun with those patties! Burgers are a fun way to explore various flavors, herbs and spices. And typically, you really can’t go wrong regardless. But there are some flavors that have a good affinity with pork and each one of these hit the mark.
If you’re wondering about the buns, I made those. They are low carb and you can find the recipe here on my other blog.
YOU MIGHT ALSO ENJOY:
- 1 lb. ground pork
- 1 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- 1 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 tsp. ground turmeric
- 4 clean eating burger buns (see link above)
In a mixing bowl, knead together the pork and spices, then form into 4 patties.
You can either fry these in oil on the stove top, bake them at 350F for about 40 or so minutes, or cook them on the barbecue.
Cool slightly and serve on a bun.
