This grapefruit vinaigrette recipe is amazing!!
I love a good grapefruit. My grandmother taught me that the “only” way to eat a good grapefruit is to stand over the sink with a knife and a peeled grapefruit and cut the flesh from the pitch or membrane. It’s a little messy if you have a juicy grapefruit (hence, eating it over the sink), but I still eat them that way to this day. To me, nothing beats a fresh, sweet, juicy grapefruit eaten over the sink!
But seeing as how I’ve eaten them that way my entire life, I thought it might be high time to branch out a little. I have never gotten very adventurous with grapefruit because I was raised to only eat them that one way! So I thought I’d try a few different recipes using this fabulous fruit, and one of my favorite creations was this grapefruit vinaigrette!
My next recipe will be for a kale salad that is simply brilliant with this dressing. So stay tuned!

So, if we’re not a fan of grapefruit do you think this would work with oranges?
Job – You could certainly try it, but it’s been my experience that oranges aren’t very strongly flavored. So you may have to add a clean sweetener. I do have other vinaigrettes though if you’re interested and will have more on the way soon, especially for summer. 🙂
Sounds great! How long do you think it will keep in the fridge?
Jackie – My guess is a couple of weeks. We used it too fast to have it go bad, so that’s definitely a guess.
