Clean Eating Dessert Recipes
Below, you will find a very long list of clean eating dessert recipes.
When I first started to eat clean, I was completely dismayed by the idea of giving up my favorite desserts. But I quickly learned not only could I have my cake, I could eat it too!
It’s actually a pretty simple process to convert many dessert recipes to a clean eating version.
- White flour gets changed to whole wheat pastry flour (at least in my kitchen it does…)
- Sugar gets changed to either honey, maple syrup, agave or brown rice syrup. (You can find my simple sugar conversion chart here.)
- Butter gets changed to either oil, apple sauce, or a combination of the two.
- Eggs get changed to egg whites if there are a lot of them. Typically 2 whites per 1 egg called for in the original recipe. Typically, I won’t go past using 2 whole eggs in any recipe, and I try to only use 1 unless the recipe really needs that second yolk.
Please note: The above rules won’t apply to all dessert recipes. But for many of them, they work wonderfully!
And don’t forget, you can find even MORE clean eating dessert recipes in my cookbook, “Clean Eating Desserts”.
