Adjusting The Spice & Sweetness
Adjust the amount of chilies according to your spice preference. You can also add more honey if you prefer a sweeter taste.
Recipe Adjustments And Variations
To play around with the flavors, try one of these suggestions:
- Herbs – Blend in fresh basil instead of mint with the strawberries.
- Citrus – Add orange juice or zest.
How To Serve A Spicy Strawberry Mocktail
Glassware – Use highball glasses for a classic look or mason jars for a rustic feel. Any fun glassware will make this drink special.
About The Ingredients
Strawberries – Use the sweetest berries you can find.
Green chilies
Red chilies
Honey – Any type of honey you prefer.
Mint leaves
Ice cubes
Sparkling water – Use plain, not flavored, unless you want to play around with the final flavor of this.
How To Make A Strawberry Mocktail That’s Spicey
Gather all your ingredients.
Wash the strawberries thoroughly and remove the stems.
Cut them into halves and set aside. Wash the green and red chilies, remove the seeds, and finely chop them. Be cautious while handling the chilies, as they can cause irritation. Set aside.
In a blender, add the chopped strawberries, green chilies, red chilies, honey, and mint leaves.
Process the mixture until it achieves a velvety texture and all components are well blended. Take a glass and fill it halfway with ice cubes. Pour the blended mixture over the ice cubes, filling the glass about ¾ full. Top off the glass with sparkling water, leaving a little space at the top for garnishing.
Stir gently to mix all the ingredients together. Garnish with a strawberry slice and a mint leaf. Serve chilled.
Storage
Store any leftovers in a covered container without ice.
Freezing
You can freeze this if you want popsicles, but I don’t recommend freezing with the intention of defrosting to drink the leftovers.
