Today, I’d like to talk about adult lunches. Many of you have asked me about what to take for lunch, and since I did a series of blog posts about back-to-school lunches for kids, I thought it was only fitting to do at least one post on adult lunches you can take to work. If you guys like it, I’ll do more posts like this one.
You may have heard of LapTop Lunches (affiliate link) from reading my blog here. They make these really awesome lunch containers that work for kids and adults alike. Well, a while back, they sent me one of their lunch boxes to review and in the process I realized what a great tool a proper lunch box can be.
LapTop Lunches contacted me recently about teaming up with them and a few other bloggers to create adult lunch ideas that are both healthy and under 500 calories. Since I’ve been meaning to do a post like this for a while now, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to get it done. So here is my idea for a clean eating adult lunch that is under 500 calories. You can find more lunch ideas from other bloggers at the LapTop Lunches blog.
My lunch includes the following:
1 cup Clean Eating Onion Dip Chicken Salad (approximately 245 calories)
1 cut spring mix lettuce with 1 tbsp. Clean Eating Italian Dressing (approximately 74 calories)
1/4 cup sliced cucumbers (about 8 calories)
1/2 a medium pear, sliced (about 56 calories)
Calorie total: Approximately 383 calories
Many of you have asked about the lunch box in the photo here. Follow this link to the LapTop Lunches site (affiliate link) and look for the box labeled: Bento Lunch Box 2.0 – Primary
