Strawberry Daiquiri Smoothie Recipe

This strawberry daiquiri smoothie is light, filling, and refreshing for summer!

I love a good strawberry daiquiri. But I don’t drink often, so I thought I’d try a non-alcoholic version. Grant it, you could absolutely add alcohol to this, and it would be delicious. But if you are looking for something new and delicious in your morning smoothie routine, give this one a try. It’s totally refreshing and delicious without any alcohol at all!

WHAT’S IN A DAIQUIRI?

The alcoholic version of this drink usually consists of rum, citrus, and sugar. Other items, such as strawberries, can be added.

However, when you omit the alcohol, the citrus – in this case, lime –  and strawberries truly shine!

This simple smoothie is almost identical to a virgin daiquiri without any added garbage or corn syrup that typically comes in a daiquiri mix. It’s perfect for summer, and you can even feel good about sharing it with the kids!

SMOOTHIES FOR BREAKFAST:

If you love a good smoothie for breakfast, then this strawberry daiquiri smoothie is sure to put a smile on your face. And if you’re worried it won’t keep you full, simply add a couple of tablespoons of raw oats to the blender. They will expand in your tummy to keep you full!

That being said, if you don’t like the idea of adding any kind of sugar to your morning smoothie, feel free to either omit it or substitute it with stevia or another low-carb, clean sweetener.

BEST BLENDER FOR SMOOTHIES:

Hands down, I can’t recommend Vitamix enough. It’s definitely an investment, but if you use a blender with any regularity, you simply can’t surpass the work that a Vitamix does. (I was not paid to say that).

That said, Blendtec and Ninja also make more affordable blenders that work really well.

  1. Hello Tiffany!

My favourite smoothie is pineapple, mango, peaches blended with orange juice. Made it up one day because I cleaned out my freezer and my 10 month old loved it. I’ve just started juicing (infact going to purchase my first juicer today. I’ve been using my Ninja which is more like blending)

Thank you for the recipe. Can’t wait to try it!
    Have a happy Saturday.
