Peanut Butter Fruit Dip Recipe
This healthy peanut butter fruit dip rocks!!
I’m getting more and more ideas for recipes these days from Pinterest.com. It’s amazing what you can find on that web site. I would almost equate it with Google, only far more addictive!
Anyhoo, I found a recipe on Pinterest for Fruit Dip. There was almost nothing clean about it, but the concept certainly sparked my interest. So I gave it a shot.
I think this may quite possibly be Mini Chef’s favorite recipe so far of all the recipes I’ve made for him. He absolutely adores it and it’s such a great way to get some healthy nutrition into that growing body of his. And yes, I thought it was pretty tasty myself. In fact, it’s just as addictive as the web site I found the idea on!
It’s a wonderful dip to pack for lunch with some fruit or crackers or it can be used for dessert!
Note, I’ve got a chocolate version coming up in a few days that makes for a pretty convincing clean version of cake frosting! Delish!

PEANUT BUTTER FRUIT DIP RECIPE:
Peanut Butter Fruit Dip
Ingredients
- ½ cup peanut butter (smooth is best)
- ½ cup Greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp. honey
- ¼ cup milk
- 2 tbsp. flax seed
Instructions
- Whisk everything together until you have a smooth, creamy dip. Serve with fruit such as apples or strawberries.
- NOTE: if your peanut butter is runny, cut back on the milk. You want this to be dip, not peanut butter milk.
did you use plain Greek yogurt or vanilla? I guessing probably plain, but thought i’d double check. this sounds wonderful! can’t wait to try it
Lewsjewelry – I used plain.
This looks delicious! did you use whole flax seeds or ground flax meal? If you used seeds, do you think it would work with flax meal?
Becca – I used whole. I don’t recommend the flax meal in this recipe. Just be sure to chew them!
I’ve done a dip similar to this, and also made variations with maple syrup for pancakes. A lot of times I put a banana in the dip for extra fruit goodness!
Shaina – Oh yum!
Have you ever thought to use pb2 in recipes?? It’s dehydrated peanut butter! 2 tbsp is only 35 calories!! It’s amazing in shakes and other things without the fat and a fraction of the calories. Some whole foods have it or I find it on amazon…
Courtney – PB2 is not clean. Last time I checked, it had added sugar.
I have actually made this just using the yogurt (using the vanilla flavored greek yogurt) and peanut butter…. It is wonderful.. I am going to try this doing it this way, and using Agave instead of honey!!
Shannon – I hope you enjoy it!
Emjayy41 – Yes, exactly.
Hi Tiffany! I have to tell you, I just started receiving the Gracious Pantry emails and I was so excited when I saw peanut butter in today’s title 🙂 It is my absolute favorite; I’ll eat it alone or mixed/baked into just about anything! It’s a bit of a weakness, but I’ve lost 75+ pounds over 3 years and I just discovered your site. Your recipes are wonderful and healthy and I’m sure they’ll help me get thru this last little plateau to my ultimate goal!
Thank you for such a great site with such great recipes and suggestions and I can’t wait to try today’s delicious-looking dip!
All the best,
Alaina 🙂
Alaina – Thank you so much! Congrats on the weight loss! What an amazing accomplishment!
I love eating my fruit with almond butter or hummus. I like your taco hummus recipe. Have you ever made chocolate hummus? That’s really good if you crave the sweet. I also love to serve my fruit in a bowl with 1/2 cup fat free cottage cheese or greek yogurt and a tablespoon of flax, chia seeds, cocoa nibs, or chopped pecans and a drizzle of honey. yum!
Christina – Oh wow! I may have to do a week long Dip Recipe Bonanza! lol
Tiffany – this recipe is delicious!! I just made a batch of it and look forward to eating it with some cut up apples. I used chia seeds in my dip since I don’t have flax seeds. Thank you for posting such a great recipe!
Sbroverman – Glad you enjoyed it!
I’ve been making a similar dip and love it! I like fruit as is or diced, frozen, and then mixed with cinnamon, overnight oats, and almonds in milk or yogurt….it’s great for the warm temps.
Have you used Peanut Flour sold by Byrd Mill? I buy it by the 5lb bag and use it for mixing into plain Greek yogurt with a bit of stevia for a dip or spread. Plus, unlike PB2, this is nothing but ground peanuts….so it’s Clean Eating I’d say!!
Richard – Really? The last time I read the ingredient list on PB2 it has added sugar. Have they changed?
Shlonda – Glad you enjoyed it!
MLea – Sure!
Missie – I have more dip recipes coming this summer. Have you checked my “Spreads & Dips” section?
Missie – Wonderful!
Ladeemedik – Fantastic! Welcome to my blog. I hope you enjoy the recipes!
Bette – Yes.
Sandra – It all depends on the ingredient list. Low fat cottage cheese, for example, has less salt and sugar than non-fat and less fat overall than regular.
Emma – I know, right? Soooo addictive!!
