My Favorite Christmas Butter Recipe (Christmas Compound Butter)
This is my favorite Christmas butter. I love putting this sweet and spiced butter on many different things on Christmas morning. From my family to yours, enjoy!

Ingredients
½cupsalted butter(1 stick - softened to room temperature)
1tbsp.orange zest(approximately 1 large orange)
2tsp.honey(or any sweetener you prefer)
½tsp.ground cinnamon
¼tsp.ground ginger
1pinchground nutmeg(or ground cloves)
⅛tsp.pure vanilla extract(or orange extract for stonger orange flavor)
Instructions
Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl.
Stir together vigorously using a whisk or rubber spatula.
Scrape all compound butter onto a large piece of plastic wrap.
Roll it into a log and twist the ends relatively tight. The log should look first like a sausage.
Chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours. Overnight is best. If giving as a gift, roll in parchment and tie off the twisted ends with pretty, festive ribbon.
When fully chilled, unwrap, slice, and serve.
