Equipment
1 Cutting board
1 chef knife
1 pastry bag (or zipper-top plastic bag)
Ingredients
2largewatermelon slices(1" thick - the whole round piece)
8oz.Greek yogurt
Honey(optional - to taste in the yogurt)
Instructions
Gather all the needed items and ingredients.
With a sharp knife, slice a 1-inch thick piece of watermelon.
Cut the 1” thick watermelon slices into 8 pieces of the equal size.Note: The thickness is important for the Christmas trees’ structure. If you don’t cut them thick enough, the trees won’t be strong to stand still.
Cut the bottom of the Christmas trees and make sure to make a flat cut on the base of each one. Note: This is also another essential step in the process. In order to have your trees in a vertical position, you need to make a flat cut on the bottom to provide a stable surface.
Fill a pastry bag or a Ziploc bag with Greek yogurt, snip the corner and use it to pipe yogurt onto the Christmas trees.
Place the watermelon Christmas trees in the refrigerator until serving. Enjoy this simple and healthy snack!
