Healthy, Clean Eating Grocery List For Sprouts Market

Do you need a clean eating grocery list for Sprouts Market?

Sprouts just opened up near my mom’s hometown. So when I stayed with her after she had heart surgery, I did a little investigating in this store. It’s kind of a cross between Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s. I can see why people like it. All the variety, but not as big of a dent in the wallet at checkout.

This Clean Eating Grocery List For Sprouts market article offers a printable shopping list for Sprouts market. The image shows a container of grown, green sprouts on a white background.

Please keep in mind that the prices listed can vary greatly by region. Also, please note that this is a combination of what I know to be available in my area and what I actually buy. This is not an all-inclusive list. Just a place to start. I tried to include a variety of both organic and non-organic items.

PLEASE NOTE: The Sprouts I was in had a very large bulk section. Bulk section selections vary by area. Bulk is typically a good way to save money, so be sure to check there first for things like whole grains, beans, and nuts.

Thank you for the list! I can’t wait for our Sprouts Market to open in the Tulsa, OK. I love your blog and all of your useful info! God bless 🙂

  2. Thanks for this…we have a Sprouts opening in our area next week!

  3. Anonymous says:

Is this Sprouts, as in, once was Henry’s? Because in our town Sprouts is still Henry’s.

    1. The Gracious Pantry says:

Anon – I really don’t know. They are a new store for me.

  4. Another tip for Sprouts: Their ads overlap on Wednesdays, so you get to take advantage of 2 weeks of specials. Also, they frequently have Gluten-Free sale days, so all gluten-free products (besides produce) are like 10% OFF. This includes stuff that is normally gluten-free like pasta sauce. I think its an awesome place to shop!

To Anonymous asking about Henry’s… yes, it is the same. I think, mostly all Henry’s will be switching to the Sprouts name eventually.

  6. One word of caution on the bulk bins at Sprouts. I have gotten pantry moths from nuts bought there. I still shop there, but freeze the few items I buy from the bulk section for at least 48 hours. Don’t buy much in bulk there because the moth thing freaks me out!!

  7. Hello. Well today I made my first visit to Sprouts Farmers Market. It just opened here in Katy, Texas. I LOVED it! I purchased fresh fruits and veggies, organic fat free milk, Sprouts Salsa, organic canned black beans and also organic chili beans. I have been reading your website since yesterday and know converting to clean eating will be done in small steps. I am hoping I will be able to transition smoothly. I am still confused by “clean eating” but will continue to do research. Thanks!

Langa – It will take some time to get the hang of it, but it certainly sounds like you’re off to a great start!

  8. We have a Sprouts here (used to be Sunflower market), and I LOVE it! I typically buy my produce and chicken there, and sometimes the big cartons of yogurt (when it’s on sale). I like their bulk section, but I find that Winco has better prices on bulk items, like whole wheat pastry flour and quinoa.

Haley – Good to know! Thanks!

  9. Hi there,
I’m new to clean eating and your website has been great!! I was wondering if you have used any of the “Simply Balanced” products found at Target.

    1. The Gracious Pantry says:

Marbella – No, sorry. I don’t even know what they are. But if you’d like to share a link to the products in question (their ingredient lists), I can tell you.

  10. I see that you have Xanthan Gum listed. I’ve been doing so much research on this and have not found a definitive answer as to whether or not it’s “clean”. Because it’s processed I’ve been trying to avoid it, but I’m also trying to be as gluten-free as possible, so it’s difficult to avoid. Can you help clarify? Thanks!

    1. The Gracious Pantry says:

Kathryn – I haven’t looked into it much. When I first tried it, everything I read said it was natural and clean. But lately, I’ve been reading otherwise. So I can’t really say definitively either. I will say that typically, you use such a small amount of it, that it’s probably not going to be a big deal one way or the other. But it’s all up to you and how rigid you want to be with this. There are a few “gray areas” in clean eating simply because it hasn’t been researched yet. I’ll try to look into it further.
