Clean Eating No Sugar Challenge

Round 1 and 2 of the No Sugar Challenge were phenomenal!

In round 1, I broke my plateau and rounded out my weight loss to a nice, even 50 pounds with a 1 pound loss.

In round 2, I lost 4 pounds, and frankly, I may never go back to eating sugar again!

  • I feel fantastic!
  • My body feels like it’s functioning as it should instead of fighting some battle I wasn’t understanding.
  • My cravings are G.O.N.E! Yep, gone. Outta here. Bye-bye forever. What a feelin’!!

So this time around, Gale and I are going to kick things up a notch. Our goal is to help you not only kick the sugar habit, but also get into the habit of including some very nutrient-dense foods into your daily eating plan to keep your energy up and your cravings at bay.

Round 3

  1. In round 3, you’ll be having one, nutrient-dense smoothie every day, on top of cutting out the sugar.
  2. In this round, we are also including meal plans and lots of smoothie recipes to help you through the entire two weeks.
  3. And as always, you can find oodles of support on my facebook page or Gale’s. Or, you could really live on the edge and join BOTH of our fan pages for support. Just think of how many people you can talk to that will be doing this with you! We will check in with you, encourage you, and see you through to the very end. Promise!

So what are you waiting for?

    Hey Tiffany!

Just wanted to give you a praise report on my “clean eating”. Although, I have not come all the way over, I am eating about 50-60% clean. Since starting, I have lost 7 pounds and gained A TON of energy. I beat my 9 year old daughter in a race for the 1st time! Since then, I have the spunk (energy) to go out and play kickball, basketball, soccer with my baby cakes. I cannot thank you, this blog and the supporters of this blog for making this transition a smooth one…and having fun while doing it.

You are a blessing. Thank you.

I love this challenge and congrates to you for running it. I need to look through your pages closer and nab some good sugar free recipes.. I rarely eat sugar and hardly have cravings for it at all. Actually, thinking about sugar and how it would make me feel after being off it for so long makes me a touch ill.

Bodynsoil – That’s awesome!! Sugar really is so bad for us. I wish science would catch up with what so many people know. But I guess that would put to big of a dent in some people’s pocket. ~Sigh~

My “no sugar for Lent” ended yesterday so I indulged in my boy’s Easter baskets and had a few treats. I have to say they didn’t taste nearly as good as I used to think they did! So, I’m still on board with no sugar :-) Thanks for the recipes Tiffany and keep them coming…they are great!

  • http://www.thegraciouspantry.com The Gracious Pantry

Tracy – That’s wonderful! Amazing how getting rid of sugar let’s our taste buds relax a bit, isn’t it? I had a bit of chocolate myself yesterday, and it was far too sweet for my liking.

  • Christine

I had lost about 18lbs eating clean, frequent small meals (always the protein) and commiting to more activity. I went to Disney with my daughter for five days and maintained my weight, (though I didn’t lose any) depsite having to eat some not clean things. I was very proud.
But then on a ten day vacation to Maui I played too fast and loose – ate three BIG, not clean meals and lots of poolside drinks. We came back to easter refined flour temptations (even worse- I’m the one who made the stuff- damn you brunch!!) I have regained four pounds and need to get my head back on.
I really enjoy clean eating, my kids and husband have been on board and I don’t want to totally lose what we have gained on our journey to make this our lifestyle. I think this two week challenge is what I need to get back, and the other perks sound interesting too. I didn’t see when we start! (PS Do you have fun ideas for clean-eating royal wedding nosh for an all night party?)

  • http://www.thegraciouspantry.com The Gracious Pantry

Christine – We start today! But no reason you can’t start tomorrow. Welcome!

  • Elaine

The other day you posted your choco banana “ice cream” recipe, it was just the thing that day to top off dinner. In keeping with the no sugar challenge I did not add any sweetner to the recipe, and never missed it. It was just as good as the first time I made it. (Probably better as I am really getting used to no added sweetners) The second night, as I had a lot of leftover bananas, I cut up pineapple and added that to the recipe and again added no sweetner, AWESOME!!! Just wanted to share.

Elaine – That’s AWESOME!!! I’ll give that a try! Thanks so much!
