Metromint Product Review

A few days ago, I was contacted by the MetroMint company. They offered to send me samples of their waters as well as a chance to enter and win a contest they are offering. I was thrilled!

I had recently done a blog post on making your own, homemade MetroMint and to be honest, I had no idea that they had waters in any other flavors than peppermint because that’s the only flavor I’ve ever noticed at the store.

So I was excited to learn that they have 7 different flavors!

  • Peppermint
  • Spearmint
  • Lemonmint
  • Orangemint
  • Chocolatemint
  • Cherrymint
  • Goodberrymint

My feedback on each is below.

WEBINAR REVIEW
I was also given the opportunity to be a part of a free webinar. It was interesting! Here’s what I learned:

  • Water with a hint of flavor helps you sip more water during the day.
  • Mint specifically helps you eat less.
  • Water helps fight bodily inflammation
  • Our brain doesn’t always differentiate between hunger and thirst. So often times we feel hungry when we are actually thirsty.

FLAVOR REVIEWS
While I didn’t get to try the cherry, I can give you some feedback on the other flavors.

Goodberrymint – At the risk of sounding corny, it had a “good berry mint” flavor. It almost reminded me of a berry flavored gum. But the ingredients are all clean!
Ingredients: purified water, mint, natural berry flavor (raspberry, blueberry, pomegranate, acai, and blackberry)

Chocolatemint – I don’t recommend this one. There was no chocolate flavor to speak of, only just the slightest of chocolate aftertastes. Barely even noticeable.
Ingredients: purified water, mint, cocoa essence.

Orangmint – This really does have an orangy flavor to it. The mint sort of “mutes” the orange flavor just slightly, but the orange still comes through with shining colors.
Ingredients: purified water, mint, orange essence.

Lemonmint: This one was very refreshing. I enjoyed it. The lemon flavor came through both in scent and in flavor. Very nice beverage.
Ingredients: purified water, mint, lemon essence.

Spearmint: This is a very basic mint flavor. Not overpowering, but definitely there. It was enjoyable but paled in comparison to the peppermint flavor.
Ingredients: purified water, mint.

Peppermint: This was truly the best of all the flavors. Honestly, this is the reason I love Metromint water. The peppermint flavor packs a true peppermint punch and you can feel that refreshed feeling in your mouth almost as if you just had a piece of peppermint gum. Truly, truly the best of all of them, in my humble opinion.
Ingredients: purified water, mint.

Disclosure: MetroMint sent me this water for free to review here. No other compensation was accepted. All items received were for the purpose of sampling the water. This is not a paid review. This is my honest opinion of the products I was sent. You can read my full blog disclosure here.

I love the chocolatemint. It reminds me of Andes candies (those little mint chocolate bars). I’m still trying to stick to my low carb diet that works so well, and I’ve finally given up pop and artificial sweeteners. I get SO bored with regular water and have been trying to find tasty flavored water without calories, carbs, artificial sweeteners. I would definitely stock up on this if it weren’t so pricey. I don’t have the disposable income I did several years ago before I quit working. I haven’t tried the other flavors.
