Clean Eating Kickstart Plan The most recent photo of me.
(My good friend Lucy is on the left)

It’s been a long time since I’ve “checked in” with my weight. I’ve managed to maintain, and that’s a miracle all on its own. But the truth is, I still have 60 pounds to lose and I’ve been getting a little too relaxed in that department over the last few months.

Since Easter,  my motivation has been slowly dwindling. I’ve been eating clean this whole time (with a few cheat meals here and there as usual),  but my weight loss has stalled because my eating plan simply is not as “tight” as it used to be.

So I’ve finally gotten to the point where I’m ready to move on. Ready to get this last 60 pounds off this tired body of mine. Ready to get it into shape. Ready to be proud of what I look like. Ready to quit hiding behind my “big clothes”. Ready to be as good as I know I can be. To reach my full potential.

THE CHALLENGE

So starting Friday, I will be doing my own version of Tosca Reno’s Cooler 1 eating plan. You can find my eating plan here. I will also be starting the P90X workout series.

I fully expect to need somebody to stir my coffee and lay my toothbrush on the bathroom counter so I can rub my teeth over it after starting P90X. But I’m okay with that. Gotta “shock” myself into getting back on track at this point. That’s just how I operate.

So if you are like me and need a kickstart to fire up those weight loss engines, I challenge you to work out and eat 100% clean with me for the next 2 weeks starting Friday. I’m posting this now so you have time to shop for everything.

If you don’t have a workout to start with, here are a few to choose from.

WORKOUT CHALLENGES

I hope you’ll join me! And if you’d like to get support through the process, join me on Facebook where there will be lots of folks posting about their progress through the next 2 weeks. You can also leave comments here. I promise to respond!

SO WHAT DO YOU SAY? WILL YOU JOIN ME?

If you aim at nothing, you’ll hit it every time.”

So excited to see your change in the next 2 weeks, & 3 months!! And just so you know, there are plenty of people watching, so don’t give up or cheat… :) We want to see before and ‘after’ pictures!!

Brittanie – LOL!!! Nothing like a little pressure! LOL!!! But yes, I’ll be doing the best I can. Thanks!

  • Gloria

I, too, have struggled with plateaus. I can totally relate. It’s been a long journey for me. I’ve lost 160 lbs. over the course of my life and it is still a struggle. I know exactly what you are going through. Since I discovered clean eating early last year, my life has changed. I still cheat, but I have a better understanding of my body. So what if we cheat more than we should, not workout as much as we should, fall off the “healthy wagon” from time to time. The most important thing is that we never stop trying. Good luck to you. I love your blog.

Gloria – You’re right! We only lose the fight when we stop fighting! Congrats on the weight loss! That’s amazing!! What a wonderful thing you’ve done for yourself!

Tomorrow is my last day of my “boot camp” training class. Friday would be perfect to continue my progress. One issue I keep running in to is a clean option for breakfast. I have tried oatmeal and other hot cereals several times but the texture just makes me sick to my stomach. Is there another option that will help start the day off right? Good luck!

  • Georgette

I look forward to your posts each day, and I am inspired by your recipes and advice. I am new to clean eating (I honestly have not jumped in 100% yet), but I feel as though this is the time and the best way to achieve my goals. I will be taking the challenge and watching your posts. I wish you continued success and thanks for all your advice.

You can’t go wrong with that combo! P90 is very effective as well as insanity from Beachbody. I discovered P90 with the help of some friends and we really saw results. We met Tony and his staff recently in CT where he did a work out and a seminar on eating healthy and promoting his new book of course! I found Tosca in January and have never been the same….such a differnece in so many ways. You can do this…stick with it and you will be amazed at how awesome you can feel and look! I found you on the web while searching for clean eating recipes, Thank you for all your inspiring words!

Kim – Sure! You can do eggs. Have you tried protein pancakes? Very different texture!

Georgette – You rock!!! Let’s do this girlfriend!!!

I am in! It is hard to stay motivated when I’d rather be swimming and drinking beers. Need a jumpstart!

  • Anonymous

Donna – Welcome! I’m so happy to hear about the results you’ve seen. When I start something new, I can get a little overwhelmed with how far I still have to go. But knowing that other people have gotten results helps a lot. So thank you!

  • Anonymous

Heather – Keep the swimming, drop the beer! lol You can do this!!

  • Homegrowing4

I’ve had the same concerns basically with the cooler 1 plan. It’s so great to clue into another option with it though. I’ve been thinking and thinking about it and finally this morning-VIOLA!! The push I needed. My printer is printing your meal/shopping list right now and I’m going to sit down with it and plan plan plan!! I need to be down 8-10 pounds by the end of July to be a tad more comfortable for our “family camp” we go to in Oregon. I think this is EXACTLY what I needed to DO IT! Thank you, once again!! Can’t wait to hear about your progress and see you moving down on the scale, leaving the 60 pounds in THE DUST!!!

  • Dawn

Good for you! I’ll do my best to eat as clean as possible and join your with your challenge. I’m afraid it probably won’t be 100% of clean eating. I have completed 2 rounds of P90X and 1 round of Asylum since October and have lost 35 pounds and have gone from a size 10 to now being between a 0 and 2. I am currently on Day 3 of Round 2 of Asylum mixed with TurboFire.

  • Anonymous

Homegrowing – Thanks! I’m looking forward to the same thing! lol We can do this!!

  • Anonymous

Dawn – Wow! You’re rockin’ it!! Go girl!!!

  • Ang Mckinnon

You should try TurboFire. LOVE it.

  • Anonymous

Ang – One at a time. lol

  • Deb Laflin

Tiffany – I am in. I have been a little sloppy with my eating too. I just came from the Dr. two days ago and my numbers were slightly up. Good wake up call. In two days I feel better already. I have 3 teenage boys who eat everything all the time. (all over 6’4″) It can be hard to stay on track watching them and having all those temptations in the house. I know we can do this. It is nice to have the encouragement. Thanks!
    Have a great day.

  • Anonymous

Deb – Yes we CAN!!!! But wow. 3 over 6’4″?? *bows down with respect*

  • Khay_shenz

Ooooohhhhh ….P90X! Loved it – but hated the “doing it alone” thing. And working out at home was fun for 3 months – after that – motivation dwindled wayyyy lowwww for me. Now I workout with the love of my life at the gym. Getting pumped and motivated since there are some seriously fit people at the gym.

I think I’d like to join you! Especially that clean eating part – my fiance and I have started on that. But definitely still struggle! Though the clean eating mag with recipes and a grocery list has made my life so much easier!

  • Anonymous

Khay – Fantastic!! Happy to have you on board!

  • Jennifer

I am 2 weeks into clean eating and P90x Lean. DO IT! It’s hard but good. I can’t make it through the ab workout, nor can I do a single pull up yet, but each workout I feel I get further than I did before. After P90x Lean, I will do P90x classic. Good Luck! You can do it!

  • Teresa

Awesome timing – I’ve had a horrible two months and needed something to help me get back on track again. I’m going to start the couch to 5k program and start back at the gym this weekend Thanks for posting your eating plan – that’s going to be a big help!

  • Linda

I am so going to do the Bikini Body Workout! This is too perfect. And am going to share all of this with my friend who is just starting to prepare for her first 5K. This will give her, and the friends joining her – also doing this for the first time – direction. We could be paying big bucks for this!! This is the help we need in this economy. Thanks ever so much!!

    Linda

Way to go, Tiffany! P90X is extreme, but WOW! The results are amazing. I did it last summer, and by September, I was in the best shape of my life! I’m anxious to follow you on this journey and jump and take part! Best of luck to you. I know you’ll do great!

I’m in! I came to the same realization a few weeks ago. I’m tired of not being in the body I want. I am happy to say I am on day 26 of exercise in a row and still going strong. I always used to have an excuse I didn’t have enough time – but turns out I do! You can do it!

  • Anonymous

Jenn – So true! We have time when we make time. It’s really that simple! Good for you!!!

  • Laura DeWoody

Have you looked at the p90x eating plan at all? just curious how it fits in with eating clean. my set of workout discs is on its way, can’t wait!!!

  • Cindy

I’m up and ready to kick butt today! It’s Canada Day and my little boy is out with his dad for the day which leaves me 0 excuses as to why I don’t have time to plan to eat well and “bring it” to P90X. Tiffany, you’re going to love Tony!

  • Anonymous

Laura – My P90X is borrowed, so I haven’t seen the eating plan. But I have a feeling it’s pretty clean. Enjoy!

  • Anonymous

Cindy – Thanks! I’m excited to start!! Doing my measurements and photos today when my husband gets home and then I’ll do the workout after Mini Chef is in bed. Can’t wait!

I am in. I am doing the Supreme 90 day work-out but I am skipping every few days. I also need to stop my once a week cheating on the clean eating. I have 10 pounds to go and want to see it happen soon!

  • Anonymous

Margaret – After doing this challenge for 2 weeks, I will say that you may want to add more veggies and maybe just a tiny bit more carbs. But other than that, enjoy!

  • graciouspantry

BRJ – I wish you all the best!
