Clean Eating Arugula Salad

This arugula salad is the first course of my Clean Eating Romantic Dinner menu post. It’s a very simple salad. In fact, I questioned whether or not I could actually call this a recipe.

It’s quite tasty. The aphrodisiac ingredients in this salad are:

  • Arugula - Little is known about why arugula is considered an aphrodisiac, but most sources seem to agree that it is.
  • Almonds - These little guys have been thought to induce passion in women for centuries. They are symbols of fertility.
  • Tomatoes - Even the Catholic church questioned the tomato’s “morality” up until the 19th century. This round red fruit has had a rather “questionable” past. Mainly for it’s color, but also for it’s shape.

Simply blend these ingredients together in a bowl and serve with my Clean Eating Vinaigrette! The main aphrodisiac ingredient in the dressing is the mustard, which is believed to stimulate desire.

Eat and Enjoy!

Munchkin Helpers:

If you have little ones, here’s how they can help (With close supervision, of course).

I’m not sure how much your kids would be helping you with a romantic dinner since they would hopefully be with the sitter at this point. But if they are around, a salad is a great way to get them involved in the kitchen. All you have to do is slice the tomatoes. Let them do everything else!

Note: Due to unspecified ingredient amounts, there is no nutritional data for this recipe.

Caution: Any time a child is in the kitchen, they will require close supervision. Munchkin Helpers suggestions should be applied with common sense to your own child, taking their own capabilities into account. Do not assume that because it says here that your child can do something, that they can, in fact do it. Please use common sense when in the kitchen with your child(ren).
