Craving Buster: Clean Eating “Potato” Chips
In this latest issue of Clean Eating Magazine, I found a one page feature on Lotus Root. I had never had it before, and frankly, I wasn’t even aware it was edible. So this article really caught my attention.
(These would be great with my Clean Eating Ranch Dressing – Also inspired by Clean Eating Magazine)
Where to find: The best place to find Lotus Root is at your local Asian market. Regular stores don’t seem to carry it very often, if at all. Plus, I love shopping in Asian markets. It’s an adventure every time I go. Am I the only one who loves the dishes in these stores?

Ya, you read that right. Clean eating and “cookie dough” in the same sentence.
And yes, you WILL eat the whole batch. I admit it. I caved. I mean, you can’t call these things “clean”, and then eat just one. It’s not gonna happen. Sorry.

Craving Buster: Coffee… Lattes… Cappacinos…

Coffee is one of my main downfalls. The caffeine reeks havoc on my blood sugar, which not only makes me gain weight, but also makes me retain water.
Yes, caffeine is a diuretic. It’s supposed to squeeze every last drop of water out of you. That’s why you always have to go to the bathroom after you drink it.
